With the restrictions in place due to the Corona Virus, all classes are now online. With the popularity of the classes online, there are now more yoga online classes to choose from. This Wednesday morning class is available to levels of yoga from the intermediate to advanced yogi.
You just need to listen to the instruction and your body. Some days we are able to do stuff with our bodies and other days we just can’t for no apparent reason. Yoga is an intuitive practise and so getting in touch with the way your body feels is always so important, particularly at such unprecedented times as these.
A Typical Yoga Online Class
The class begins with Pranayama followed by Asana (the physical bit). If you are new to yoga or pranayama please DO NOT partake in the advanced breathing technique until you have done comfortably alternate nostril breathing with retention for at least 2 months. Regarding the postures do what you can and take the higher or lower option depending on how you feel on the day. We end each class with a 20 minute guided relaxation which is also available to you any time by going to the latest news on the website and clicking the link guided relaxation.
Please avoid heavy meals 2/3 hours before our yoga online Classes and wear comfortable clothing. Doing yoga at home means you can practise in your pyjamas or whatever else you fancy. You have the choice to be visible or invisible but please stay visible at least to say hello at the beginning as it’s so lovely to see all your lovely faces, especially as I live on my own.
The class is shortened to 75 minutes so you can listen to the guided relaxation with headphones or at your leisure. The relaxation you will find by going to the latest news from the home page and clicking on the link under guided relaxation. A mat and something to sit on for the pranayama (blocks ideally, cushions or a chair) if you have a strap then great but otherwise a dressing gown belt will do. PLEASE REMEMBER TO LISTEN TO THE INSTRUCTIONS.
Remember too that when you pay for one class weekly you can attend any of the other classes in that week for free.
