A monthly Yin Yoga class to deepen your existing practise or an excellent intro to Yoga if you are a beginner. If you would like to calm and balance the mind and body, regulate your energy levels, increase your mobility in joints and hips as well as creating better lubrication for those joints and connective tissue, then look no further. This 90 minute class will give an intro to pranayama breathing techniques and end with a 20 minute guided relaxation, but the main bulk of the class will be on postures, the physical aspect of Yoga. Who ever you are in life shows up on the Yoga mat so you also get to learn more about who you are and what’s important to you.
Yin is a wonderful accompaniment to other styles of yoga and your own personal life, because it brings long periods of time in a potentially uncomfortable position, which then asks you to learn to “be” to “accept what is” in that given moment. Something we can all benefit from daily. The nature of Yin will also assist you if you are keen to meditate or struggle to be still during an existing meditation practise.
