The Yoga 7 studio at the wonderful venue Abberley Village Hall is ideal for yoga. Our yoga Worcestershire class in Abberley offers a large and quiet venue with plenty of parking in the gorgeous countryside. The class is also available online via zoom.
You will experience the benefits of Pranayama, proper breathing techniques such as deep abdominal breathing and alternate nostril breathing (anuloma viloma). After comfortable and regular alternate nostril breathing you are able to progress, if you feel comfortable, to Kapalabhati breathing which is an advanced option. Alternatives are given to individual students who may struggle with more advance breathing techniques. Some students struggle at different times of the year using nostrils for breathing particularly hay-fever sufferers, possibly more prevalent in the countryside. If you find this an issue please do chat to me and i can recommend some Yogic Kriyas you can practise to help clear the nasal passages.
The breathing techniques assist with dealing with stress and generally produce a feeling of peace mentally. Pranayama helps cleanse and detox the internal organs as well as balancing the left and right brain hemispheres. The techniques also support weight-loss alongside healthy eating and regular exercise.
Yoga Worcestershire
The Asana, otherwise known in the West as ‘postures’ are tailored to suit all levels, consequently depending on how you feel on the day of the class you would take the higher or lower option accordingly. Postures do vary but always commence with a warming up of the body so prevent injury and prepare the mind and body for more strenuous options. We will do a Vinyasa flow, which is moving the body with intention whilst focusing on the breath.
This class always usually ends with a guided relaxation of 20 minutes known in Yogic terms as Yoga Nidra. The body cools down after the physical bit so its definitely worth using a blanket or layers for the Nidra part.
Yoga 7 runs classes here throughout the year in Worcestershire so don’t let the school holidays be a reason to stop your practise, however, we are closed on Bank Holidays. The venue is ideal for a Yoga Class and space is available for up to 15 students. Please bring your own mats, blocks and straps.
